Progress Today, a Vision for Tomorrow.

Meet Lexy

Lexy grew up working with horses and learning firsthand that listening to the needs of the individual and showing accountability were the ways to build lasting relationships built on mutual respect and trust. Lexy had her first job at ten as a working student at a barn, learning the value of hard work. Her mom was a small business owner but lost everything, including her healthcare when tourism dried up following the 2008 recession. Lexy watched as a hub of her local community made up of small family-owned businesses turned into corporate storefronts. Lexy learned how important supporting rural economies is when she watched her mother get forced out of her business before eventually working in a steel mill.

It was Lexy’s mother who taught her how important it is to give back to your community and how dangerous a government that loses sight of who it’s meant to serve can be. Lexy became a poll worker to give back and invest in her community. She learned firsthand in 2020 how important elections are to ensure unfair factors like the bureaucratic elites don’t override the will of the people.

Lexy didn’t set out to be a politician but when she knew the strong democratic candidate the people of CD10 deserved wouldn’t be on the ballot, she decided to run to represent her community. That community extends far beyond Athens and that means Lexy is on a mission to represent all constituents in CD10 no matter what side of the aisle they come from.

What I stand for —

It is time for a new generation of public servants who will stand up to billionaires and corporate lobbyists and fight for everyday Americans by promoting rural economic development, environmental stewardship, good governance, and ensuring equal opportunities for all Georgians. I am ready to represent CD10, and I’m looking forward to building coalitions with community members across the district who are ready to take the fight to DC.

Better politics is possible.

Imagine a country where we collaborate and use our intelligence, experience, and creativity to build a better future for everyone.
